A couple of weeks ago, I developed a wild hair about DSLRs. I've always just had point-and-shoot cameras, borrowing friends' DSLRs for better quality photo needs. I've also always had a secret crush on photography, but I never seriously tried it myself because a) it's expensive and b) pretentious adolescent me always saw photography as the art for people who can't draw or paint. Well, eff that. I decided it was time that I have one, so in typical Courtney fashion, I obsessively researched them for about a week and eventually ordered a Canon T2i and the $80 wonder 50 mm/1.8 lens. My friends, it is awesome. I know you're probably like "yeah, ok, art girl, get it out of your system" but you just look at things in a different way when you know you can turn any scene into awesome art at any time (as long as you have your camera). Anyway, enough talking, time for pictures!
